Hidden away off the main thoroughfare, unless you're cutting up from the car park, this gem of a cafe serves excellent coffee and a good choice of cakes. Lunches are available and appear to be of similar quality. Background music plays in one room but it doesn't in the orangery adjacent. Very polite and friendly staff. Worth mentioning, if you're like us and don't read the menu, mug size coffees are available and if you like your coffee extra hot, you just have to say and they oblige. I thoroughly recommend this place.
Cafe is great, but a lot of the "art" is actually limited edition prints, often of a run of several hundred. this isn't art really? Plenty of places to buy proper original art at similar prices in Keswick.
The wife loves this place especially the cafe. Good food at reasonable prices.
As a family of 5 sometimes difficult to get seated. The cafe is well thought out as it is not a huge area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast was lovely, and finished off looking around the art work and gifts upstairs. Definitely worth a visit!
We ate lunch here on a Friday. It was busy but not full so finding a table was easy. We sat in the conservatory which was pleasant but not too hot even though it was hot and sunny. Pleasant and relaxing with a quiet atmosphere. Service was good and the food was fine. Coffee and cake was good. Nice end to our regular Lakes holiday. Next time we visit we'll check out the gallery.
